DSLR cameras offer different type of focus modes. Manual Focus


In Manual Focus, the camera don't have control on setting the focus. You manually sets different buttons or rotate the rings that control the camera lens. This is ideal for those who wants to have absolute creative control of the shot that you want to make.

Single Auto Focus






In this mode, the camera focuses automatically while pressing the shutter. You may press the shutter quickly or do a half press first to lock the focus. This type of focus is effective when your subject is static.

Continuous Auto Focus


This is the most advance type of focus among the three. The camera automatically focus on the subject even it is moving. The lens continuously corrects the focus even the distance between the camera and the object is changing. You can do this by doing a half press on the shutter while continuously moving the camera to follow the object or the opposite.

The best way to use these features of a camera effectively is to go out and practice different shots. Also, don't be afraid to experiment and explore on these settings.
