I've been using Lazada to shop online for many years now. At first I was hesitant to use credit or debit cards in paying goods online specially if the seller don't have a good reputation yet. Filipinos are paranoid that online payment can cause a lot of trouble.

One of the reasons why lazada is a good choice in buying products online is they offer COD or cash on delivery, in situations that your house is hard to find and your'e afraid to loose your payment online this is the best solution. I believe COD is the reason why Lazada becomes popular today plus most of the items are shipping free free!

There are some instances that buyers didn't receive their items on time. You have to be patient and check the status of your order by logging in to your Lazada account.
Is COD the best choice?
I would recommend COD for first time buyers specially if your house is hard to find. But when you have bought a lot of items in lazada and delivery time and finding your house isn't an issue anymore, it's safe to use credit cards or PayPal.
I use PayPal because it's the safest way to pay products online. By paying online, you don't need to prepare exact amount of money while waiting the delivery man and the change to your 1000 peso bills will not an issue anymore.
