Macro setting let you capture close up pictures on a very detailed manner. It is widely used in photography that focused on insects, flowers, and small objects. You are not aware that you can capture similar shots by just using your ordinary digital camera.

Macro shot happens because the camera focus on a very small area only. The background of an object may look unfocused or blurred but this helps the main subject stand out. You can take pictures from as close as two or three inches. Make sure that the focus is on the main object before you press the shutter.  Some camera needs a half press to set the focus on the object.

Some common scene that you can use is a bee on a flower, ant carrying a bread, tree trunk, and more. Ordinary objects may look special when you apply this setting. Keep on experimenting and you can have great close up pictures that you can share with your friends.
